Sacramento River Cats ladodgerchronicles.com
The Sacramento River Cats scored two runs in the first inning of Saturday's 12-1 victory over the Oklahoma City Dodgers at Sutter Health Park. Their speed didn't slow down throughout the rest of the game. The Dodgers scored one run in the third inning when Miguel Vargas ground out to bring the score to 2-1. However, the River Cats quickly made up the deficit by scoring 10 runs after that. The Dodgers were within striking distance at 5-1 until the River Cats scored five more runs to make the score 10-1 in the seventh inning. Two times as many runs were scored in the eighth against Dodgers infielder Ty Kelly.
Sadly, both the offensive and defensive efforts of the Sacramento River Cats were lacking in their game against OKC. Additionally, except for Tomas Telis and Eddy Alvarez, who played brilliantly the entire game, pitching and defense were below-par.
